Hey what’s up guys, Nick from Fit Futures here with yet another answer to yet another question.

Today’s question is ‘Nick my training has plateaued, how can I get more out of my workouts moving forward?’. Well, there’s a couple of things that we can do. Personally I’d be looking at progressive overload and I’d be looking at variation by variation. I mean manipulating the set schematics if you’ve been doing hypertrophy rep ranges maybe you can go into a maximal strength base for two to six weeks. Maybe that will help. Likewise, you can vary the type of exercises you’ve been doing. If you’ve been doing predominantly bent over rows to go to a unilateral variations such as the one-arm dumbbell row or we can utilize various progressive overload techniques such as super sets, giant sets, ascending or descending pyramids, negatives drop set.

All these things are designed to just help you accumulate a little bit more volume and break down any plateau that you happen to come across.

So give some of those a try guys and see how they work for you and I’ll catch you next time.
