Hey what’s up guys, Nick from Fit Futures here with yet another answer to yet another question.
Today’s question is ‘should I still train if I’m under stress?’. It’s a fairly complicated question to answer because based on hans selye’s general adaptation syndrome, we know that with prolonged chronic stress we can actually suffer at some form of burnout or exhaustion. We can compromise our immune system, however in saying that, with careful manipulation of the set schematics and and our actual training programs; and if we monitor our training in the short term we can probably deal with training well under stress. And there’s a immense benefit in doing so as well.
You see; when we train the body releases positive endorphins, neurotransmitters that act as an analgesic which basically just reduces our perception of pain, and they also greatly increase our mood, and make us feel really good about ourselfs, and increase that self belief.
So train and enjoy yourself.
I’ll catch you guys next time.
