Hey what’s up guys, Nick from Fit Futures here with yet another answer to yet another question.

Today’s question centers on ‘goal setting’. One particular student has set some goals for themselves but they feel a little bit anxious in terms of the pursuit of those goals. In other words, they are a little bit concerned that they won’t quite reach the goals. They’ve asked if I’ve got any tips for them and I do. Basically what I’d do guys is set the goal and then completely disregard it. Leave it there.

Let’s say you’ve set the goal for in six weeks time you can’t achieve it but what you want to be doing is focusing on the process. So what’s involved in reaching that goal? Let’s say you want to add some size to your frame, then you need to be eating right and you need to be training consistently in the gym. So focus on the day-to-day stuff and put all your efforts and all your energies into the process itself. Learn to love the process and embrace the process and if you can know that the outcome will take care of itself.
